About this project

Why are you participating for Based India?

For me, Web 3.0 seems to be interesting and promising future of the internet, its same opportunity as the California gold rush, same as the internet in the 1990s and I am super excited for web 3.0. ans Based India gives me the Exciting opportunity of solving for the local looking for the problems or needs around me , so I am super Exicted to Participate

What challenges are you focusing on?

I’m addressing the challenge of empowering creators in my community by helping them transition from Web2 to Web3. Currently, creators rely on centralized platforms, limiting their control over content and earnings. My blockchain-based platform gives them decentralized tools to share their links, secure their data, and connect directly with their audience. By using Base, I aim to help Indian creators gain more ownership and explore new monetization opportunities, fostering greater independence in the digital space.

How does your submission address this challenge?

My submission is a blockchain-based platform designed to help creators share their links in a decentralized way, addressing the challenge of Web2 dependency. By enabling creators to store and share their content on-chain, the platform ensures greater ownership, control, and security over their digital presence. It empowers creators by reducing reliance on centralized platforms, unlocking new revenue streams, and building trust through blockchain’s transparency. The potential impact is significant, as it can lead to greater independence and innovation for creators in my community and beyond

Challenges we ran into

1)Technical Challenges: Metadata Storage One major hurdle was deciding where to store the metadata. Initially, we debated between centralized and decentralized options. After revisiting the architecture, we chose to store all metadata in IPFS and host the links as NFTs. This ensured both security and decentralization for the creators' content.

2)Onboarding Creators to Web3 A non-technical challenge was that many creators are hesitant to dive into Web3, mainly due to the complexity of setting up wallets. To overcome this, we allowed creators to log in with their existing email IDs and abstracted the Web3 components on the backend, making the onboarding process seamless.

3)Data Security We ensured all creator data is stored securely in IPFS, maintaining the decentralized ethos while providing robust content ownership.

Additional Features

We initially aimed to ship the Farcaster Frames feature but ran out of time. However, it will be supported in our next release.
