Why are you participating for Based India?

As a passionate advocate for digital art and community engagement, I see immense potential in India’s vibrant artistic scene. Base India allows us to harness blockchain technology to create an inclusive platform that empowers artists while nurturing a community of collectors. My goal is to bring together creators and collectors to build a stronger digital art ecosystem in India, showcasing the country’s rich cultural heritage and innovative spirit.

What challenges are you focusing on?

In India, many talented artists struggle to gain visibility and support in the competitive NFT market. Additionally, collectors often find it difficult to discover high-quality digital art. By focusing on these challenges, CurateHub aims to create an equitable platform where artists can receive recognition, and collectors can find unique pieces of art curated by the community.

How does your submission address this challenge?

CurateHub leverages a community-centric approach to curation, allowing users to vote on their favorite NFTs and artists, ensuring diverse representation. By enabling themed collections and artist profiles, we enhance visibility for creators while making it easier for collectors to discover new art. The feedback and support features will foster direct engagement between artists and their audience, ultimately cultivating a thriving community.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges was integrating voting mechanisms within the platform. Initially, the process was cumbersome, but after consulting with experienced developers and iterating on user feedback, we streamlined the interface and optimized the backend to ensure smooth functionality.

Additional Features

During the Buildathon, we introduced real-time notifications for community votes and feedback, enhancing user engagement and responsiveness. We also added a social sharing feature to promote artists and their collections across social media platforms, driving traffic and visibility.
