About this project
The problem it solves
🕹️ For Gaming Publishers: Problem:
Revenue models are broken:
Premium games are hard to scale.
In-app purchases are heavily taxed (Apple/Google take 30%+).
Ads hurt user experience and cause drop-off.
85% of games fail due to monetization struggles.
Catoff's Solution:
Introduces a new monetization layer via real-money competitive challenges and prediction markets integrated directly into gameplay.
Publishers can earn revenue from wagers and game-based challenges without relying on ads or app stores.
Adds a Web3-enabled economy where users fund the ecosystem themselves, making it more sustainable.
🎮 For Gamers: Problem:
No real way to put money where their mouth is.
Competitive gamers want stakes and rewards, but most games don’t offer real-money skill-based systems.
Current options (e.g. tournaments, betting platforms) are clunky or not tailored to casual gaming.
Catoff's Solution:
Gamers can wager on their own in-game performance, predict outcomes of live esports events, or challenge friends directly.
Players level up their skills while earning real crypto rewards, turning casual gaming into a meaningful and rewarding experience.
Challenges we ran into
- Complex API Integrations:
Integrating with multiple game engines and third-party platforms required deep customization.
Game telemetry wasn’t always standardized, making consistent data capture difficult.
- SDK Development Was Error-Prone:
Building SDKs that worked across different environments (mobile, desktop, WebGL) introduced countless edge cases.
Compatibility issues and unexpected bugs were frequent, especially when embedding real-time wagering logic.
- Heavy Testing Requirements:
Because users were wagering real money, we had to ensure zero tolerance for bugs or exploits.
This meant rigorous QA cycles, simulation environments, and live beta testing before any major release.
